Step 2: Zoom Consult
Homeowners love our roof consultations. In fact, it’s one of the top things homeowners praise in their online reviews.
Rather than send you a page of gibberish and a large $$$$, we take the time to explain what a roof replacement even is. What it entails. What makes a good roof replacement, and what makes a bad one.
We’ll also show you how we estimate the project with a satellite measurement report.

Step 3: Virtual Roof Estimate
After the presentation, we’ll send you the roof replacement estimate within 1-2 business days. This is where the satellite image report comes into play.
The satellite image reports detail the square footage, linear footage, shape, and pitch of your roof. We’ll be able to tell if there are skylights, what sort of attic ventilation we recommend, and how long the project will take.
What if my roof has a leak? Don’t you need to see my roof to quote it?
At Artisan, we don’t just replace your shingles. We replace the entire roofing system so we can guarantee your roof is operating good as new. As a result, we’re able to do an estimate based on measurements because we know our thorough replacement will take care of any leaks or shingle/flashing issues.
In rare circumstances, we may need to do our onsite inspection prior to sending you an estimate, but we’ll always let you know if that’s the case.
Some exceptions to virtual roof estimates include mansard-style roofs, new construction projects, or homes in heavily wooded areas. In these cases, we can’t always pull a satellite report.
Step 4: Follow up inspection
Within a week of your consultation, we’ll follow up with an onsite visit. But no worries! You don’t have to take off work to meet us. We can inspect everything from the exterior.
With our onsite visit, we’ll get all the info we need so that you, the homeowner, and us, the contractor, are 100% prepared on project day. We’ll thoroughly inspect the exterior of your house so there are no surprises on roof day. During our onsite visit, we’ll:
- Check for gutter guards
- Note satellite dishes
- Inspect your roof ventilation system
- Measure any skylights
- Look for wood rot that could affect the roof installation
- Note any unique landscape or hardscape features like sprinkler systems or a pool
- Take reference photos
If we don’t meet with you onsite, we’ll be sure to follow up with you and go over the findings from our inspection.
Finally, we’ll be here and available to help and answer any questions as you compare quotes and prepare for the project. When you’re ready to move forward, we’ll send you a contract and get you on the schedule!
