What Does a Roofing Warranty Actually Cover?

There are two types of roofing warranties you’ll encounter:

• Manufacturer Warranty: Covers defects in roofing materials like shingles or underlayment. Artisan registers this for you and includes algae protection (limited to blue-green algae).
• Workmanship Warranty: Covers installation errors such as flashing failures, ventilation issues, and improper nail placement. Artisan offers 15 years for residential projects and 10 years for commercial, rental, or HOA properties.

Note: Reused skylights are excluded from both warranties. Any roofing work performed by another contractor will void your coverage.
